BENGAL
Left Front, meeting at the Muzaffar Ahmad Bhavan on August 4 has resolved to
organise campaign-movements statewide against the twin evils of imperialism and
communalism. On August 15, an
anti-imperialist and anti-communalism day will be observed across Bengal.
The state leadership of the Bengal Left Front will address, on this
occasion, a central convention at the Promode Dasgupta auditorium in Kolkata.
Between
August 16 and August 31, all the district units of the Left Front shall organise
meetings and conventions against imperialism and communalism.
The programme will be taken down to the level of the blocks.
On
August 31, statewide programmes will be held to remember the martyrs of the
historic food movement of 1966. On
that day, the state LF leadership would garland the Martyrs’ Column at the
Subodh Mullick Square. The Left
Front leadership would meet on August 10 at the level of districts to ensure
that the programmes are a success with massive participation of the people from
all walks of life.
