CP Bangladesh Leadership Visits AKG Bhavan

THE president of the Workers Party of Bangladesh, Rashid Khan Menon and general secretary Bimal Biswas visited the CPI(M) Central Committee office on June 7 and had a bilateral meeting with the CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury. During the three hour long meeting various issues of mutual concern were discussed, specifically the question of improving relations and bonds of solidarity in the anti-globalisaiton campaign in the Asian region. The parties also discussed possibilities of organising consultations among communists in South Asia and the Indian sub-continent.

This visit and exchange of opinion, apart from strengthening fraternal relations between the parties will also lead to improvement of relations between the peoples of India and Bangladesh.
