Radhikaranjan Pramanick, CPI(M) MP, was expelled from the Party under Article
19-13 of the Party Constitution. The
Lok Sabha speaker has been written to by the CPI(M) to press the demand for the
disqualification of Pramanick’s membership to the Parliament.
Apprising
the media of the decision of the state secretariat of the Bengal unit of the CPI
(M) to expel Pramanick, state secretary Anil Biswas said that Pramanick was
involved in anti-Party activities for a long period. He had kept in close touch with the Trinamul Congress.
He had also opposed the ideology, programme and policies of the CPI(M) in
open meetings and in press conferences.
Pramanick
was first issued a show cause notice, and then charge-sheeted.
He never desisted from organising machinations against the Party.
Finally, under Article 19-13 of the Party Constitution, Pramanick was
expelled from the CPI(M). Pramanick
has decamped with some important Party documents

MP, Rupchand Pal has written to Lok Sabha speaker, Manohar Joshi calling for
Pramanick’s disqualification from Parliament. Anil Biswas commented to say
that had Pramanick the least amount of morality, he would have himself resigned
as an MP.
