Commission On Party History Formed
THE
Central Committee of the CPI(M) has constituted a commission for writing of the
history of the party. In its meeting held from August 26 to 28, the Central
Committee set-up a five-member commission to undertake the work of writing the
authoritative history of the Communist Party.
The
decision was in fulfilment of a directive given by the 17th party congress, held
at Hyderabad from August 19 to 24 this year.
The
commission consists of Harkishan Singh Surjeet (convenor), Jyoti Basu, E K
Nayanar, P Ramachandran and Koratala Satyanarayana. The commission will have its
office in Kolkata and the West Bengal state committee of the party will
constitute a team to assist the commission. (INN)
