CPI(M) Demands Marandi Ministry’s Resignation

THE Jharkhand state secretariat of the CPI(M) has demanded that the Babulal Marandi ministry resign, as it has been established during the three day’s argument before a five-member special Bench of Ranchi High Court and from the observation of the bench that the ministry failed to uphold the constitution of India and the rule of law for which it was bound by oath.

The court observed that the Marandi ministry was mainly responsible for disturbance of peace and for creating violence on the domicile issue, and that it tried to circumvent the law by executive orders. The ministry took political decision on domicile and job reservation issues. The advocate general and top bureaucracy totally failed to advise the cabinet or the cabinet overruled their advice.

The Marandi ministry stands accused before the court and the people of Jharkhand of creating social and communal divisions, tension and violence for electoral reasons without any actual benefit of jobs and relief to the toiling sections. (INN)
