CPI(M) Greets CP Israel's 24th Congress

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has sent the following message of greetings to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Israel on the occasion of its 24th Congress

 Dear Comrades,

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) extends its warm fraternal Communist greetings to the 24th Congress of the Communist Party of Israel.

Due to pressing developments in India, we are unable to send a delegation to your Congress.  We would have very much liked to be in your midst at this crucial moment in history.

The CPI(M) is confident that this Congress will emphatically decide to strengthen the widespread struggle against globalisation and  US imperialist efforts to strengthen its hegemonic political and military global domination.

The CPI(M) and the Indian people draw inspiration from the struggle of the Israeli Communists under very exacting circumstances.  Your struggle against the policies of the Sharon-Peres government, the bloody war unleashed with the support and approval of US imperialism against the Palestinian people and the occupation of Palestinian territories  gives the progressive peace-loving people world over much confidence.

We are confident that this Congress  will strengthen the resolve for peace and security for  both, Israeli and Palestinian people by seeking an end to Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands, evacuation of Israeli settlements, the  establishment of a Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem, alongside the state of Israel and the solution of the  refugee problem in accordance  with UN resolutions.

We are confident that this  24th Congress of the Communist Party of Israel, upholding the revolutionary  tenets of Marxism-Leninism, will strengthen its links with the working people in Israel. The CPI(M), once again,  conveys its greetings and wishes the deliberations of the Congress all success.
