People's Democracy

SPECIAL NUMBER

December 6, 1992 marked a qualitative change in Indian politics when the over 450 years old Babri Mosque was demolished by fascist hordes. The growth of communal/fascistic forces in the country led by the RSS has become a pronounced threat to the very foundations of our republic. Their hold on the governance only exacerbates the danger.

During the course of this decade there have been numerous occasions when this danger had become very apparent, most glaringly during the horrific genocide in Gujarat. Time has come for all democratic and secular forces to join hands to resist this onslaught. People’s Democracy/Lok Lahar, the central organs of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) have been making their contribution to this struggle against communal hatred.

In continuation of this, they are coming out with a special number on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of demolition of Babri Mosque, containing special articles by prominent personalities, writers and historians.

Agents and individuals may book their orders before December 02. For orders received after this date please add Rs 4 extra per copy as postage:
