All India Tribal Convention

RANCHI, the capital of Jharkhand will be the venue of the All India Tribal Convention sponsored by the CPI(M). On November 18 and 19, 2002, around 350 delegates and guests will be attending the convention at the MECON Community Hall. Delegates from 18 states are expected to attend. The convention will conclude with an open session on the 19th afternoon.

The convention is expected to adopt a declaration highlighting the demands of the tribal people. This is the first time such a convention is being organised by the Party.
