PUNJAB ASSEMBLY POLLS
List of CPI(M) Candidates
ON January 17, the Punjab state secretariat of the CPI(M) released at Chandigarh the first list of 11 candidates for the February 13 assembly polls. The main electoral objective of the CPI(M) in these elections will be to ensure the defeat of the Akali-BJP communal alliance. In other seats where its own candidates will not be in the fray, the CPI(M) will make efforts to see that secular votes are not divided and secular winnable candidates are supported so that the communal forces are defeated.
