Delegation
Meets
Surjeet
A
NINE
member
delegation
of
the
Chinese
Association
for
International
Understanding
(CAFIU)
visited
the
Communist
Party
of
India
(Marxist)
central
committee
office
on
December
9.
The
delegation
was
received
by
the
CPI(M)
general
secretary,
Harkishen
Singh
Surjeet
and
central
committee
member,
Hari
Singh
Kang.
The
CAFIU
delegation
comprised
its
secretary
general,
Jiang
Shuxian
and
was
headed
by
Li
Shuzeng,
member
of
the
standing
committee
of
the
National
People’s
Congress
(NPC)
and
vice-chairperson
of
foreign
affairs
committee,
NPC,
China.
She
is
also
the
vice
president
of
CAFIU.
The
delegation
is
currently
visiting
India
at
the
invitation
of
Delhi
Study
Group.
Li
Shuzeng
briefed
the
CPI(M)
leaders
about
the
activities
of
CAFIU
and
the
current
political
and
economic
situation
in
China,
especially
after
the
16th
Party
Congress
of
the
Communist
Party
of
China.
