Party Congress Resolution On Kerala Expulsions
REGARDING the expulsion of four members in Kerala, the 17th congress of the CPI(M) resolved the following:
1. The status and powers of the Central Control Commission shall remain as they are under the party constitution.
2. The four expelled persons in Kerala --- V B Cherian, Appukuttan Vallikunnu, Subash and Kishore --- cannot be taken back into the party, given their anti-party activities.
3. The new Central Committee should examine the whole question of the jurisdiction and powers of the CCC and come up with proposals, if any, before the next party congress.
