CPB Greets Left Front Victory

The Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) sent the following message to the CPI(M) general secretary, Harkishan Singh Surjeet, greeting the party’s victory in the recent West Bengal assembly elections.

WE are extremely happy to know the recent results of the state election in West Bengal where the Left Front has won the elections once again for a consecutive sixth term. The Left Front has once again come to power at this critical juncture of history.

This is specially noteworthy because the victory was attained in the face of an all-out offensive from the ruling reactionary communal forces holding power in Delhi, imperialist efforts to overthrow the Left Front government from West Bengal, and the vigorous anti-Left campaign of the reactionary electronic media. This is indeed a great victory of all progressive forces and the whole people of India and the world.

We express our warm greetings and congratulations to you and, though you, to all the members of your party and the Left Front and people of West Bengal on this great occasion of the victory of the Left Front.

Sincerely Yours

Mujahidul Islam Selim
