THE party headquarters has received a number of messages from fraternal parties and organisations abroad, condoling the death of a large number of people in Gujarat and pledging help for the quake victims. These include the messages from the Communist Party of France, Communist Party of Greece, Party of Socialist Power --Communist Party (Turkey) and others.

According to the People’s Republic of China’s ambassador to India, China has already sent a planeload of relief materials; more relief is expected to come soon.

Vietnam has sent 2000 tonnes of rice in the first instalment and has pledged to send more in the days to come.

Despite its own problems because of the criminal and strangulating US blockade, Cuba has contributed one million dollars towards the Gujarat relief fund.

The Organisation of Solidarity between the Peoples of Asia, Africa and Latin America is also going to send relief materials for Gujarat victims. More aid is expected from fraternal parties and organisations.
