Comrade Shailendra Shaily Cremated
COMRADE Shailendra Shaily, secretary of the CPI(M) Madhya Pradesh state committee who died on August 7 was cremated on Wednesday evening at Bhopal.
Hundreds of party workers and supporters from all over the state gathered for the funeral procession. Earlier his body was kept at party office for enabling people to pay homage.
Homage was paid to Comrade Shailendra Shaily by P Ramachandran and Prakash Karat, members of the CPI(M) Polit Bureau. Brinda Karat, Subodh Roy and Indrajit Singh, members of the central committee of CPI(M) were also present to pay their last respects.
Leaders from party state committees of Jharkhand, UP and SFI all India president P Krishna Prasad were also present.
Earlier leaders of all major political parties CPI, Congress, Janata Dal and BJP and leaders of various trade unions, mass organisations, prominent writers paid homage to Comrade Shailendra Shaily.
