2G Case: Investigate PMO

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following statement on March 18, 2013.

FRESH evidence has appeared about the role of the Prime Minister’s Office in the 2G spectrum allocation. The report of the file notings and documents of the PMO, published in The Hindu, reveal the complicity of the PMO in the illegal and arbitrary policies adopted by the then telecom minister, A Raja, in the 2G spectrum allocations.

It is surprising that the CBI has not investigated this aspect of the 2G spectrum case.  The prime minister’s related efforts at distancing himself from the affair have also been exposed. The prime minister cannot absolve himself of his responsibility in the matter.

The Polit Bureau demands that the role of the PMO is specifically enquired into by the CBI. The Joint Parliamentary Committee should summon both the prime minister and A Raja to testify.
