Party Congress Website Launched

THE official website of the CPI(M)’s 20th party congress was launched at a function held in Kozhikode, the venue of the congress, on November 27. The website was created by the organising committee for the conference and inaugurated by CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. The address of the website is www.kozhikodepartycongress.org.

At this site, a link named history provides information about the history of the party congresses, and also about the history of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) --- at the all-India as well as state level. Through a link named Kozhikode, the visitor can go through the information provided on the history, geography and population of Kozhikode. The news about the party congress will be available through a link called latest events.

The song Internationale is there to welcome the visitors as soon as they open the site. Video footages of CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat, its state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan and the organising committee’s general secretary T P Ramakrishnan on the relevance of the party congress are also available at the site.

CPI(M) district secretary T P Ramakrishnan presided over the launch function that was held in C H Kanaran Mandiram, district headquarters of the party. CPI(M) leaders N K Radha, P Satheedevi, C Bhaskaran, K Chandran, T P Balakrishnan Nair, Purushan Kadalundi and K T Kunhikkannan, among others, also attended the function.
