CPI(M) Candidates Undertake Padayatras In Delhi


THE campaign of the CPI(M) in the 4 constituencies it is contesting in the Delhi assembly polls is in full swing. On November 19, in the Karol Bagh (SC) constituency, the CPI(M) candidate Nathu Prasad went on a padayatra through Raigarpura, Dev Nagar and Beadonpura. He was accompanied by over 400 supporters. He was given a rousing reception at several places by residents of these areas who expressed their determination to defeat both the Congress and the BJP and to ensure the victory of the CPI(M).

In Dwarka, the CPI(M) candidate Mukesh Chaudhary undertook a padayatra through Dabri, Vashisht Park, Mohan Nagar, Raghu Nagar and Brahmapuri under the Dabri municipal ward. Door to door campaigning was undertaken by teams of volunteers in the Manglapura, Sagarpur and Sagarpur (West) wards as well.

In Okhla constituency, Raza Haider, the CPI(M) candidate, undertook a padayatra in Zakir Nagar. Subhashini Ali, Central Committee member of the party, addressed four meetings in Zakir Nagar in support of Raza Haider. A team of the Jan Natya Manch performed four shows of a play in support of the CPI(M) candidates.

In Karawal Nagar, the CPI(M)�s candidate Anmol Chaudhary went on a padayatra through D Block, Third Pushta and Sonia Vihar on November 19 morning, accompanied by over a hundred supporters. This was followed by another padayatra by the candidate in Sriram Colony. Two back-up teams of women campaigned in the First and Fourth Pushta areas of Sonia Vihar and one team comprising both men and women undertook a door to door campaign in Mukund Vihar. (INN)
