AIKS AIAWU Condemn  The Killing Of Comrade  Virendra Prasad Singh

The All India Kisan Sabha and All India Agricultural Workers Union jointly issued the following statement on May 18, 2008

THE All India Kisan Sabha and All India Agricultural Workers Union condemn the dastardly murder of comrade Virendra Prasad Singh, district council member of AIKS, at his home village, Sakhmohan in Samastipur district, Bihar on the night of May 16. This is the sixth murder of CPI(M) cadres and leaders in the area. Earlier district leaders of CPI (M) Comrade Uday Shankar Singh, his brother Comrade Guneshwar Singh and the state secretary of All India Agricultural Workers Union and central working committee member, Comrade Ram Nath Mahto were murdered. The murderers are the same set of feudal turned criminal elements like Ajay Singh, Uday Jha, Dablu Rajak and Rai Singh, among others. They already have a number of criminal cases against them but the police has failed to apprehend them so far.

We demand the immediate arrest of these criminals and the police protection to witnesses in the Ram Nath Mahto murder case. We extend our deeply felt condolences to his wife, two sons and two daughters.
