HOMAGE TO MARTYRS

THE 17th congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) salutes the memory of the martyrs who died for the cause of the working class and the democratic movement during the three and a half years since the 16th congress. The communist movement will forever cherish the memory of these comrades.

The congress pays respectful homage to the 348 martyrs belonging to the party and the mass organisations in West Bengal who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the party and the democratic movement. They were killed by Trinamul-BJP, Congress, landlord gangs and extremist groups like the KLO, PWG and MCC.

The congress pays its heartfelt tribute to the 383 comrades who were martyred at the hands of the extremist gangs of the NFLT, ATTF and class enemies. They laid down their lives defending tribal-non-tribal unity.

The congress pays respectful homage to the 39 comrades who were killed in Kerala at the hands of the RSS, Congress and other anti-communist forces.

The congress pays respectful tribute to the 37 comrades in Bihar who were killed by landlords, criminals and in police firing.

The congress salutes the memory of the 21 comrades who were killed in Andhra Pradesh by the PWG, extremists, landlords and in police firing.

The congress pays tribute to the 9 comrades including, 4 women tea garden activists, killed in Assam by the NBFD, ULFA and other anti-social elements.

The congress pays homage to the memory of the 3 comrades who were killed by extremists in Jammu & Kashmir; and 2 comrades killed by landlord-feudal gangs in Uttar Pradesh.

The congress pays its respectful homage to Comrade Ramnath Mahato, member of the secretariat of Bihar state committee and secretary of the Agricultural Workers Union, who was shot dead by a landlord’s gang.

The congress pays homage to Darshan Singh Khoda, member of the Ganganagar district committee of the party and vice president of the CITU’s Rajasthan state committee, who was killed by the goondas of the management.

The congress pays homage to the 9 comrades of Tamilnadu who were killed by the ruling class goondas.

The congress pays homage to 3 tribal comrades of Jharkhand who were murdered by landlords’ goondas.

The congress pays homage to Comrade Vidyaram Rajak who was killed by a gang of feudal landlords.
